This mask was created in the style of the Bamana people of Mali. The mask has a rounded face and is decorated with cowrie shells and beads. The mask measures 12 inches tall and weighs 4.5 pounds. There is some cracking, scuffing and wear and tear throughout – please inspect photos. This mask has some missing shells and/or beading (see photos), but overall is in great condition for its age. It is an incredible piece. It's heavy and requires a metal display stand.
